Frank Sinatra’s 1984 Rolls Royce Corniche, purchased by Sammy Davies Jr and Dean Martin, is to be sold by Silverstone Auctions next month.
The car, purchased by Sammy Davies Jr. & Dean Martin, was gifted to Frank Sinatra to celebrate his 70th birthday.
In 1990 Frank gifted the car to his long-term assistant Ingemar Fredriksson to mark ten years of service. Ingemar used the car for daily commuting until his retirement in 1997, remaining friends with Frank until his death, a year later, in 1998.
Returning to Europe in 2001, Ingemar settled in southern Spain, taking the Rolls with him. Whilst buying a property in Spain the Corniche was accepted as part payment. The car then remained in storage until it was brought to the UK
Rolls Royce and Bentley specialists Colbrook of Peterborough carried out an extensive two year programme of recommissioning works.
The car is due to go under the hammer at the Silverstone Auctions NEC Classic Motor Show Sale on 10 November and is estimated to fetch up to £125,000.
